frank bretschneider and the 'process'....

>>Thanks, I'm really enjoying the Frank Bretschneider myself. It made

>Oh, yeah, that review was downright cruel. I was quite astounded to read
>that... especially since I've heard pretty good things about that disc, from
>people I respect. Chalk it up to a Wire backlash against glitchery?

i don't understand this.....i'm seeing more and more people complaining
about 'laptop performers' and the more recent computer orientated sound
creations in derogatory terms...

i see it as a convenient means to an end, i couldn't give a flying fuck what
people use, it's the end result I listen to, not the process....

i've also heard [and been accused] of this formula:

input + software = output....

once again, if the preparation of the input is sufficient and the end result
sounds fascinating, I'm not really concerned what 'goes between the flow'...

the Bretschneider disc IS fantastic, guess it shows how lists like this are
a better measure than magazines with a barrow to push..
