it seems to me that this can also be linked to time. that is, how many
people on the list are able to make a full-time living writing music
compared to those who are serious hobbyists? i would venture to guess
that a lot of us would fall into the latter category.
as such having a family or full-time job would mean being only able
to squeeze out small chunks of time to write music; for me, the busier
work gets the less time i have to write anything...so, tracks can take
a long time...but probably not months...there's also the laziness factor
too...:P
on the other hand, there are people who have to just 'grunt' (for lack
of a better word) their way into something they're happy with...
