Nope, they did a couple of things: a) decided that 5.0 would have a free
component with a more tech-prone version for the usual $60, and b) made a
lot of deals with BeOS integrating into that wonderful Internet Appliance
buzzword.

Two things can happen: either Nuendo comes out and everyone stops waiting
for Opcode to phoenix out of Gibson finally, or b) no one buys Nuendo and
you only know BeOS as your toaster. 

I use BeOS here along with a few other major consumer OSes, and it sure is
the prettiest. As far as actually "using it..." well... Ross hasn't ported
over Audiomulch yet, and KeyKit hasn't made an appearance...
