i think the general policy back in those days was to ignore you if you 
weren't from columbia-princeton or germany.  (see also rune lindblad.)  it 
also probably didn't help that he was an recording engineer as opposed to an 
academic "composer" type.

speaking of tape-based experimental music, has anyone heard jean dubuffet's 
collaged tape stuff from the 60s (?), originally on ilhan mimaroglu's 
Finnadar label?

obm_snd: any recommendations for CDs similar to the mighty fine miki yui 
_small sounds_ disc?  preferably something the average human can find (this 
rules out everything from before 1999 on gefriem, ok?).
