AUDIOPHFILE on the Art Entertainment Network

AUDIOPHFILE, a bimonthly experimental audio exhibition organized by NOMADS,
is featured as part of the Art Entertainment Network (AEN) the current
on-line exhibition sponsored by The Walker Arts Center (Minneapolis, MN).

Opening February 11 and running through April 30, the Art Entertainment
Network (AEN) features more than 40 Web-based artist projects that exploit
the convergence of media on the Internet in order to explode the boundaries
between art and entertainment.

Selections from AUDIOPHFILE are featured within the "mediatheque" channel of
the AEN. The mediatheque is an online resource of links to artist-created
audio, video, text and screen-based works from around the world. Throughout
the 11 week exhibition, visitors who drop by the mediatheque will be able to
access work by individual artists from the AUDIOPHFILE archive as well as
the launch of AUDIOPHFILE v.4.0.

AUDIOPHFILE artists featured in the mediatheque include:Chris Brokaw (dc),
Richard Chartier (Arlington, va), Andrew Deutsch (Alfred,NY) Forbidden
Reproduction (dc),Nina Martinek (dc), Susan Phillipsz (Belfast, N. Ireland),
Sabot (Tabor,Czech Republic),tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE (Pittsburgh) and The
Trance and the Arcade (DC).

NOMADS is a DC-based arts organization whose members work collectively to
realize projects on the World Wide Web and within our local community.
AUDIOPHFILE is sponsored, in part, by the D.C. Commission on the Arts and
Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts.
