Hi there Ross+++thanks for pointing it out, of course (?) I already have
all the three volumes of "Soothing Sounds for Baby" and other more "jazzy"
records of Scott with musics later orchestrated by Carl Stalling for the WB
cartoons ("Reckless Nights and Turkish Twilights" and "Celebration on the
Planet Mars" and "Manhattan Minuet", these two with reinterpretations of
his music by The Beau Hunks Sextette).
But "Manhattan Research Inc." is absolutely stunning, packed with a ca. 150
pp. book with notes, photos, info, graphics, as it features all the
electronic machines and devices invented by Scott (Clavivox, Rhythm
Modulator, Electronium, Karloff etc.). Basta (what a cool label!) will soon
publish other stuff by Scott, that is to say "The Electronium Years" and if
you want to know more about the man go to:
www.RaymondScott.com
That's all.
Bye,
NicCat
