two quick shout outs + 1 gig (mtl-specific)

1) stalaktiten och mirjam _angestmaskin_ (phthalo)... by martin
abrahamsson, otherwise known as the madman behind saundart records & the
bauri moniker. a suite of 26 varied pieces residing somewhat in the
glitch domain, but not limited to it; it's more expansive than
microsonic, so to speak, but the sounds are definitely peculiar. it's
usually rhythmical & not always minimal. some of the tracks could be
qualified of being 'fairly insane'. essentially you just go from
surprise to surprise throughout the cd. how does that sound? to me
that says 'you can't go wrong with this'. anyone have more bauri
recommendations?

2) taylor deupree 'focux' 12" (audio.nl)... minimal beats with dub
grooves... all beautifully desynchronized, with more digital artifacts
than you can throw a joystick at. you can even dance to it. the new
motor & goem 12"s have also hit the store but i'm waiting for my
paycheck first. :) what's the word on those? i hear the goem is even
more minimal than the previous one on audio.nl, which sounds intriguing
because that other one is like, barely there.

montréal specific, now. a show you shouldn't miss tomorrow night. i'll
be there. just pasting the info...

schidlowsky i hear is good, & i'm very curious about po, seeing its very
