P.S. another palliative: Take that divine new Miles Davis/John
Coltrane box set from Columbia. Drop it into Peak/Spark/Whatever
and extract all the silences/accidents [you even get a bit of Miles
and - wait for it - Lenny Bernstein chatting]. Make a piece
worthy of the list from that, and get back to us. You can't
beat time-stretched overblowin' 'Trane for yummy waveforms.
I'm finding that Supersilent (thanks so much for the recommend,
Oeyvind) and Miles, when judiciously chosen, sit side-by-side
quite nicely.
