Re: [microsound] Advice on good monitors needed

I'm no expert, but I have a pair of Monitor Ones also and they're quite
adequate. I A/B-ed them with some other monitors in the same price
range (Events, K-Roks and the Yamaha NS-10Ms) when I made the purchase
a year ago or so and the Alesis were my favorite. The Events had really
annoying high treble, the K-Roks had too much bass for reference monitors
imo and the Yamahas just sound like crap. I know the NS-10s are the
standard, but they had no bass at all and sounded really tiney. I also
like the way the Alesis project sound. It's really sort of direct. I felt
"closer" to the sound than with the other models.
