antiorp, now that's avant-garde big time. guerrilla art. you can't get
out of it, they capture your "back" & "stop" button to show you what?
blank screens? a screen saver-like animation? sure enough, it's all
justifiable as "art". i think you're supposed to "love it or hate it".
i've been trying myself to be indifferent, but i just hate losing
control of my browser; it's a bit like a painting that would extend two
arms around it once you're in front of it, preventing you from leaving;
or a cd that wouldn't skip to any other track.

i understand the point of it, but it's the sort of thing i'd rather read
about in an art book than actually "experience". in the end it makes
you say: it's art because it has no other use; a fairly limiting
definition of art, come to think of it.

let's say that at best, it's a trick that works, but only once. but
with almost all "purposely incomprehensible" net.art i encounter:
jodi.org did it better.

now as for net.art to give a fuck about: http://www.potatoland.org ~ i
haven't stumbled across anything close to this in terms of sheer
inventivity.
