Re: [microsound] visuals...

hello again,
we kind of moved into 'pop-video' territory, which is very interesting
(where can we download oval videos from???).
but, i am more interested in live performances.
i saw carsten nicolai from raster/noton recently, very effective use of a
line behind him, and the apple logo on his pwrbook.
the most successful electronic-music or 'microsound' (who came up with
'microsound' please...?) performance i have seen was from ryoji ikeda and
dumb type, it was all tightly synched and, where i saw it, quite a
cinematic experience.
i also understand the mego crew use 'big eye' and 'nato0+55' quite a bit
with their performances, anyone seen much of that? any comments...?
it is nice to just listen with your eyes shut, but what about some visual
ques or suggestions?
i have been producing quicktime movies and some quite basic max-msp patches
(as part of my final project at college), just to trigger them and jump to
different positions in their time-lines (if anyone is interested i am
making an ultra short-run mini cdr with max-msp patches, quicktime movies
and audio examples) and have found this quite satisfactory though i am yet
to really get a decent audience... ... ...
anyway,
any more thoughts anyone?
