Artist Info

F. X. Randomiz

Born in a small town in Bavaria in 1968. First instrument was a flute, but
then the piano was of more interest. Piano lessons for about 10 years.
Going to a music and art orientated school.
First analogue synthesizer in the age of 14 instead of a motor-cycle
(unlike all his friends).
Learned to know Jan Werner and Josef Suchy, founded the Band 'Four Square
Logos' with them and later the GEFRIEM label.
Studied Musical Science in Cologne. Quit.
Gave up music and studied Law in another small town in Bavaria. Quit.
Back to Cologne - recorded the SLOW album with Jan Werner. Learned to know
Georg Odijk (a-Musik) and Frank Dommert (Entenpfuhl/ and now Sonig).
Worked for TV-Stations (Trailer-Productions, Music for Shows). Quit.
Studied Media Arts at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (Did not quit -
made his exam in 1998 with some trippy interactive AV-Installation and a
manual for a non existing mind-machine).
Recorded the GOFLEX album during that time, founded HOLOSUD with Jo
Zimmermann (Schlammpeitziger), did some remixes for e.g. Microstoria,
Whirlpool Productions, Schlammpeitziger, Welttraumforscher ...
Now working on an exclusive track for the forthcomming Sonig-Compilation
and on his next album (hopefully out before end of the year).

SONIG 07 INFO

F.X.RANDOMIZ "STACK" 12"

after the exquisitly complex work of his debut album "goflex", his
collaborations with mouse on mars and schlammpeitziger (as "holosud")
cologne´s electronic mastermind f.x.randomiz is back on the scene with his
new 12" "stack".

a one man deterritorialisation commando hitting the
minefield with chopped up, high energy start stop editing manouvers
extratopped with catchy hooklines. richly textured and riddled with micro
bombast events. randomiz rewrites the manual of electronic music with his
left foot. music that produces future. things run out of time and collide
with big bursts of unheard intensity. midi and harddisc recording fuse to
become one big pulsating brain of musical conceptions which reach far
beyond the boundaries of styles and genres.

"stack" is randomiz´ comment on contemporary club music and number four in
"the sonig dance perversion series". his album will come soon.

Vladislav Delay (Helsinki, Finland)
Returning from an extended US tour, Vladislav Delay brings the walls of
thundering bass back to the city.
Helsinki's electronica northstar records for labels such as Chain Reaction,
Mille Plateaux, Phtalo & Max, Ernst + Freunde.
At the Native Lab he will present all new music in a specially designed
live-treatment environment.

A review of Vladislav's album for Mille Plateaux:

"With Vladislav Delay's Entain, Mille Plateaux ups the ante on cathartic
electronic
listening/chin-stroking music to a different plain altogether.
The six tracks on Entain, at first listen, never seem to get above simmer
and therefore require your complete attention.
Once granted, Entain becomes a symphony of digital evolution,
where the slightest nuance of sound becomes a focal point of change
and careful development from isolated audio wave or distortion to a carmina
with a life all its own."

----

Solar X (London, Moscow)

Solar X is the Russian scientist Roman Belavkin. His music is most commonly
classified as drum 'n bass, but it's really more concerned with hot,
frenzied drum patterns than bowel- dropping bass. This confrontational music
demands repeated exposure to absorb it's complex layers and intricacies
tinged with Belavkin's unique brand of humour throughout.

Roman has been described by British magazine The Face as "a stereotypical
Russian genius". In addition to his musical activities Roman is involved in
Physics,
Computer science and Martial arts. In 1992 he became a European champion of
Martial Arts and at the present time is writing his PhD on Artificial
Intelligence.

At the moment Roman lives in the United Kingdom where he is doing his
research in AI and writes music for the London based imprint Worm
Interface.

Solar X records for Worm Interface UK, Defective, Art-Tek, and Serotonin

Toktok (V-Records Berlin)

Toktok is a project of the artists Nerk, Anton Waldt, C14 and Fabian
Feyerabendt from the german techno capital Berlin. It was founded in 1994,
emerging out of the prosperous free party scene at that time where the
Toktok members organized Parties together with the legendary Spiral Tribe
Sound System. From the beginning on, Toktok focused on playing techno mostly
live in at the party location and going for a wild jam that would last up to
24 hours. Out of the large amount of Live Gigs throughout the years, Toktok
developed their very own style that would break the boundaries of style
definitions such as techno, electro, house or hardcore, illustrated by their
thirteen releases so far.

Justus Koehncke (Whirlpool Productions Cologne)

Cologne¹s Rave To Disco-Death-Head Justus Koehncke is known as the
technical mind behind the electronica-Disco-outfit "Whirlpool Productions",
as well as his own Solo-projects such as "Spiralen der Erinnerung" or
Subtletease on Ladomat Records.
Justus is a Hartcore-Reaktor user & will one of his rare Computers only gigs
at the Native Lab.

Text fuer die Presse

Around the world -- Go Teleclubbing!

Nomaden-Dancefloor, MARIA - internationale Electronica Avantgarde,
Tempodrom, Popkomm, Expo2000, Berlin Beta, Off-ICMC...

das Klubradio Prinzip ist einfach: Go to the source! Niemand weiss

Dimension. Elektronische Tanz Musik wird wieder zum Testfeld
richtungsweisender Medienformate.
