I had no problems with my G3 in Norway and UK, the power cord doubles as
a converter of sorts, so the voltage wasn't a concern. He will need a
plug adapter, which most travel/luggage type shops should have. I
recommend taking a variety of cords and adapters (SCSI, monitor,
ethernet) just so he knows he has one that works with the G3, but
otherwise I think everything should work OK, that was my experience. Oh
yeah, if he has a modem check and see what kind of connectors the local
phones use in Scotland... I did encounter some unusual connectors a few
places in Norway.
