Not in theory. Silence = all zeroes. However, in order to actually HEAR the
sounds, you have to convert it to analog, and you won't have absolute
silence any more.
When sampling "nothing" on a regular hardware sampler, you go through
several points on the way (A/D converter, sampling rate converter etc) where
sound/artifacts can sneak in.
