Any idea of how I can hear some of this slowed-down house? Sounds pretty
interesting, actually...
I'm surprised that so little of this stuff has come from South Africa or
Namibia. There's probably a fair amount of talent there that we've not even
touched on yet...

Microsound-wise, not a lot. Lots of big rock (and pop) bands & festivals, a
fair amount of jazz, a very small electronic underground, and of course,
kwaito, which is having a huge influence on DJs over here. Lots of house
slowed _right_ down, which makes for some interesting sub bass, slowed up
vocals & breaking up hi-hats. Can't say i've heard of the composer you
mention.
