12k presents"frame", a 4 minute digital video for the title track of
the upcoming shuttle358 cd (release november 2000). the video
represents a new direction for dan abrams/shuttle358 and 12k in
visual aesthetics. shot on location along the rail and roadways of
los angeles california it is presented here in high resolution VHS
format (a lo res, quicktime version will be on the CD).
the video is an exquisite example of simplicity through imagery of
architecture, lines and forms of urban structure and the overlay of
abstract portions of haiku text. its dreamy movements and subtle
color palette is a perfect visual compliment to the moody microrythms
of shuttle358's clicky ambient sound.
the "frame" VHS is limited only to 50 copies.
