Re: [microsound] the smooth and the cooked
Out of context this phrase is as meaningless as it seams. This may be OT,
but these folks are Marxist cultural critics who have views on culture that
support a lot of the same views present in contemporary music, such as the
idea that meaning in music is social and does not come from the "Genius in
the Ivory Tower," etc. I did some writing on Marxism and Electronic Music
