Koji Asano
By using a broad range of instruments, Asano succeeds in
creating an original soundworld. His electroacoustic music
discerns itselves through it?s unlimitedness in both
tonecolour and freedom of style. His discography includes
computer synthesis, solopiano, tapemusic, experimental
electronics and stringquartets. This many-sidedness is
also transferred to his liveperformances

Besides releasing albums on his Solstice-label, Asano also
produces music for dance and soundtracks for film. His
collaborations with sculptors and visual artists resulted in
various international exhibitions.
For Bruno Letort?s ?Megapoles? project he composed a
strinquartet that received it?s premiereperformance by the
Smith Quartet in Paris? Vingtieme Theatre. Asano lives
and works in Barcelona.

Even Jim O? Rourke would be left gasping at the depth and

It takes a while, but ones your ears adjust to the subtleties
and shades of Asano's rich palette, feedback never sounded
