haven't seen much mention of it other than people not really being into
it...  but i must say i like it better than _makesnd cassette_.  for one
it has more focus & the sound is not as uniform or bland.  this one
sounds loungy & cozy (track 8 even has a trip-hop feel to it!  though
without any breakbeats...), with the off-balance high-pitched percussion
creating the edge.  i had heard that this was more "accessible" material
from snd...  well, that certainly worked for me, but it's still too icy,
machinistic & dry to be really "accessible".

hence i recommend it!  more variety (even inside the tunes themselves --
what a concept!) than _cassette_, with lots of great, great tunes,
especially towards the end.

hey, i'm beginning to wonder if there's anyone besides mille plateaux &
force inc. who release cds of this kind of supermodern beat-oriented
glitchclickshtick stuff that's not just plain 'minimal house'.  i'm
beginning to actually have a 'mille plateaux collection' without even
trying...  come on, where's the competition??
