Re: [microsound] wacom tablets

hi. i'm thinking in use a wacom tablet to control my powerbook running lisa,
not
usin' the wacom tablet only as a mouse, more like a graphical map of orders.
suppose the wacom idea is not new, any info about? thanks in advance

joshua kit clayton was using a wacom tablet for a while, controlling max/msp. the surface of the tablet was divided into a complex arrangement of different areas that would do different things - a row of sliders here, some buttons there, granular parameter accessible through the pen angle here. of course he had a picture of the layout taped to the wacom. if that's not enough you could have multiple template overlays for different pieces... if you are programming in max you can do whatever you want with the raw data from the tablet.

as i recall, he ran into some accuracy problems with the tablet, and i believe he now has a motormix. but i was comparing my lombard/motormix setup to his pismo/wacom: both fit into backpacks, but the pismo/wacom was WAY lighter. and less bulky.

i don't care, i am hooked on the motormix.
