RE: [microsound] Turbosynth (was: skipping cdrs)

Is this the same Turbosynth made by Digidesign (that requires a Samplecell
card)?? That kind of retro lofi paradigm dovetails nicely with this group,
on the contrary :).

one thing i have done, which is a really wrong way of doing anything is:

using sound-edit 16 i create an audio file of varying levels of nosie,

i then send the signal out of my mac into my tascam 4 track recorder,

then i play the file, but i select a small area to play and scrub over it in
real time, recording what i am doing on the 4 track and then i re-sample it
back into the computer.

i know its ghetto and all but i dont have much gear and i can usually get
some intersting sounds using this method.

anyways i hope this helps, also try a cool little app called turbosynth, it
can do some amazing stuff in little time, i know its off topic but i was
playing with this last night and had alot of fun with it. turbosynth is
really good for building a libaray of sounds for use in a sequencer or
something else.
