Nature? Computers? Together?!  Wouldn't ya know, Jon Appleton has been doing 
it for YEARS!! (like since 1939, if you believe the caption to the lower 
left hand photograph)

Have any of you heard his mid 1970s album *Human Music*? It was the (ahem) 
groundbreaking collaboration between Appleton (of synclavier fame) and the 
late great freejazz heavyweight Don Cherry (ornette coleman 4tet, father of 
Neneh). Think Cherry's improvisations (played on cartloads of ethnic 
instruments) treated, digested, and electronically filtered by Appleton.  
it's hard to find, but worth the search.  Even Canavarro-esque, at times.
