the passing of the hotline torch

As you may know, Eddie Peel is no longer able to host the Microsound hotline
server.  I'd like to thank Eddie for volunteering to provide such a valuable
service.

I'd also like to announce that I've put up a provisional replacement ftp server.
You can reach it here:

ftp to microsound.caddr.com
use login microsound and password 'he4Foya'

Eddie and I are in the process of transferring the contents of the old server to
this new server, but, in the meantime, you can upload new files to caddr.  I
haven't set up a chat server on caddr yet, but I was thining of running irc.
I'm open to suggestions if anyone has other preferences.  I wish I could provide
a real hotline server, but I don't have access to a mac or windows machine with
dedicated access.
