max/msp

this is going to be kinda a open question, but does anyone have any
experince with max/msp? i am thinking about buying the software, i am mac
based but also have just been introduced to the world of pc trackers like
buzz or IT, i am really not a musican, i am a graphic designer getting
started making audio stuff, call it what you will, but max seems really cool
kinda reminds me of being a kid playing with a big pile of legos.
