The Toshiba notebooks are fantastic; they may not be the lightest or the 
fastest, but they hold up for many years like Volvo 240s and seem to be 
among the most reliable PC notebooks out there.  (IBM Thinkpads, on the 
other hand, seem to fall apart rather quickly.)  If I were to buy a PC 
notebook, a Toshiba would be my first choice.  Of course I use a Powerbook 
520 and G4...
