yeah... i agree with that earlier post that there probably isn't much of a
need for too many more phoenecia/devine or autechre styled tracks out there.

but... it is still wicked fun to rock such stuff on one's computer in one's
bedroom etc. and there is always the potential to take it to the next level.
erm.. maybe instead of electro, you could apply the production techniques to
happy hardcore or gabber. ;)

in addition to estevan's insightful suggestion to wire a bunch of shit
together (though i might also suggest unwiring), try playing around with
variable downsampling (reducing bit-depth and/or sample rate) and clipping.
logic platinum has a plug-in called "bitcrusher" that can be played to
create some pretty wild digital beats. this is also possible in reaktor and
i imagine alot of other softsynths.
