ogg is  being increasingly supported by encoders and players
alike, and streaming won't be far behind. that said, offering both formats
until ogg support reaches ubiquity is probably a good idea.

i've been using ogg now for a couple months and i can say that in certain
instances sound quality is noticeably superior to mp3. it also
crashes my mac at work routinely, but i'm told this has more to do with
sketchy implementation by the players (in this case, unsanity's echo) than
anything inherent in the technology, so as time goes on stability should
improve.
