Re: Curtis Roads?

Carl (& the rest of the list) -

Apologies for not responding to the list sooner with this. After I heard
the news from my friend, and posted my question to the list, I heard
from my wife that she'd heard *Harold Rhodes*, not Curtis Roads, had
passed away.

Harold Rhodes was the inventor of the Rhodes electric piano, and the
friend who'd originally told me the news got Roads & Rhodes confused.

I'm glad that Curtis Roads is still alive (though I must confess hearing
the original report inspired me to dig into granular synthesis, and has
contributed to a new thread of investigation in my music). It's sad how
sometimes we don't give those around us the credence they deserve until
they're gone? Thankfully that's not the case with Curtis Roads.

Again, apologies for scaring anyone.

Bill
