Re: [microsound] sounds of the earth

does anybody know of an online-recource with more information on
recording sounds from the earth and space? in know hafler trio used
sounds of the sun, etc. how is this done? can i do it myself? what do i
need for that, how can i build the receiver?

Densil Cabera wrote a piece the was a clockwise circumnavigation of the Australian Mainland. To quote, "the tidal spectrum for more than sixty ports around the coastline has been resythesised, but sped up 32 million times (corresponding to one year per second)". This information was then converted to sound. Very sine wavey, but with alot of subtlety.

Happy Australia Day to the Aussies on the list!!
