microsound and gender
considering that the methods used in producing microsound seem to be
rather different than in making other types of music, referencing a piece
to gender type could be difficult, if not impossible. It use to be that
men or women could relate to say, lyrics or type of human voice in less
esoteric, but with that mostly nonexistent in microsound, the question of
sexuality may be irrelavant altogether--therefore asexual.
on the other hand, i do remember a friend of mine (girl) who insisted that
there be some warmth or harmony (as oppose to noise?) in order for her to
like it. but then again, i did know a girl who seemed to only listen to
noise. but i guess this is more of a what kind sound do girls like to
listen to, rather than produce and i think i can apply both of those
qualities to males as well.
