I still hear from all the pro audio sources it's best to burn @ 1x or 2x if
it's a  PRODUCTION MASTER, of course you should not have "problems" burning
audio cds at 12x or 16x but you increase the risk of errors since RedBook
audio has NO error correction--it might play fine but not duplicate fine.  If
it's the final master to be sent for duplication: 1x or 2x, at least that
seems to be the common belief.  also use GOLD Mitsui or Taiyo Yudens CDRs for
production masters... although this is an endless debate.
For archiving  you should save them as computer files: SD2,aiff or wav.
