Of course, In Austria there has been a long history of tactical response
within the artistic community to the right-wing _creep_. Perhaps you are
looking in the wrong places? don't expect to read about it in the N.Y. Times
or on back of a MEGO CD.

I think your question is symptomatic of the way that Americans look at
politics, for an American to be involved in politics it is a "career"
choice, whereas with Europeans it is unconscious, a "duty", ingrained into
our culture.

Personally I think that all one can aspire to is to be an aware and
responsible citizen irrespective of whether or not they choose
"micro-sound" as a medium to convey this. that is not important.

>pro: new tools + new sounds require new ways of thinking + being.

yes, yes. The Age Of Reason cometh again. I much prefer "the world revolves
not around those who make new noises but those who make new values. the
world revolves inaudibly" think it was someone German with a dodge tash
who said that.

Also thought I'd throw in since I rarely have time to contribute to this
list, that I just checked out some CD's from Insofar Vapor Bulk in Russia.
ROCKIN. Alexei Borisov CD is a KILLER baby. It will make you want to
stop listening to The Make-Up.
