yeah, i live here in austin. the south side is cool to live and a bit
cheaper, however, anything more centralized is more convenient. i've been
playing music off and on in austin for @ 12 years and the two three main
comments about the scene that come to mind are that it's highly politicized,
very fragmented, and you better be willing to make your own thing happen!
there are a lot of little mini scenes with a baby electronic scene
attempting to raise it's head. i've started an organization to support the
local scene here with the emphasis of the organization being electronic,
improvised, no-outlet song writers, andthe creation of a mobil party network
designed to be ready to plug into another towns' situation easily. my
