NT is good, PD on Win98 is fraught with potholes. Linux/Irix also has good
supporrt. For a PC owner interested in Max/MSP and thus predisposed to
purchasing software, Reaktor is the way to go. Max/MSP on PC has been
vaporware and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future, as the
company has admitted, promised development cycles notwithstanding. But
this argument is best suited to another list.
