Visual programs

Anyone using:

Videodelic or X<>pose.

I've been dabling with them
the last month or so and I've
been thrilled. It's been a new
opening experience for me
jamming visuals in realtime.
It's brought me a new passion
that's kinda lost it's thing with
audio for me.

I've yet to delve into Max/MSP
yet so NATO etc haven't really
been given a shot.

When I was looking into NATO it
appeared from the site that there
is some shit going on between
C74 and NATO as NATO is accusing
C74 of ripping them off.

Since I work in audio post I am
totally thrilled at the concept of
integrating the two medias together.
I've been rather bored with live shows
where the artists just sticks some
cool video tape in a plays their
music at the same time. They
never appear to actually have
any relation to each other except
that they are happening at the
same time.

Question regarding the MAX vis programs....
can you still "use" your Mac screen to manipulate
your MAX patches while the visual patch is being
routed out the SVideo port on your Mac?
Videodelic and X<>Pose lock you out in
performance mode. You can still manipulate
the visuals via the mac keyboard or MIDI but
the actual screen is not accessable.
