Re: [microsound] ae
I've been listening to Confield as well of the older ae material for some
time now and trying to come up with a conclusion. I'm still stuck, it's
definitely not like any of their other material, and if this was their first
LP I'm sure many people who liked the rest wouldn't have bothered to pick it
up in the first place. It's missing some of the key things I always really
dug about ae; the moody dissonant chords, and progression throughout the
tracks. This LP seems to be perveresly abused by the twiddling of one
particular sound or rhythm pattern throughout each track. Each time I
listen though the recording grows on me. Again I'm stuck maybe that's what
they wanted ;)
Anyone listened to the Chris Clark LP on Warp yet? Dark shtuff.
Cheers
