I would recommend the New Albion recording that pairs "Rothko Chapel"
and "Why Patterns?".  I hope it's still in print...

Feldman has several different phases but the only one I know well is
his later phase where he was writing a lot music for flute,
glockenspiel, and piano.  "Why Patterns?" is representative of that
style and will allow you to decide if you want to plunk down and buy 4
hours of that sort of thing.

"Rothko Chapel" is just a really beautiful peice.

Another recording you might want to look into is "For Samuel Beckett".
It's from his later period and has a similar sense to it, but it's
arranged for a larger ensemble and isn't as sparse as the
piano/glock/flute stuff.
