Re: [microsound] Mini-disc
I use a sharp portable, it works wonderfully for live recording. If you have one of the little condensor mics you can do live bootlegs without anyone anyone noticing if you should so desire... I attached mine to a compressor from the main board sub-outs during a live performance and the result was perfect. Better than a good number of "commercial" live recordings I've heard. I'm so accustomed to changing the recording levels on the fly, I had no idea this wasn't standard in all portable mini-discs. I bought it because it was cheaper than the Sony model I was looking at. The only real complaint I have with mine is that it stops working long before the batteries are fully drained. I took my batteries out of it when it stoped working and I've been using them in a walkman for a few weeks now. Anyone else had this problem?
