I know I always am the one to poop on people's parade...but I feel that
endless summer (which sold out of OtherMusic in NYC in 3 days!?!?) is
nowhere near and brilliant as Plays.... All the tracks on ES have a
surprising lack of progression and seem entirely loop based...

one track in particular (hmm...endless summer actually) is just two loops
going on and on...Also (and I know that I'll get a little flame for this)
the whole CD is too pop oriented... warm cords and strumming guitars... A
little sickening..(sorry....but I like my experimental experimental)....

I'm doing a surpassingly bad job of expressing. myself.

on the other hand I wanted to bring up the stillupstepya / TV pow CD... The
individual tracks are very very good some very subtle meandering and
transitions...The CD as a whole gets a little repetitive as they seem to
have used the same sounds on multiple nights..

I actually saw them on this tour.. (at Bart College) in the room were me
(who opened for them) nick (the promoter) and the two bands.... And I think
that this is the night that the title (we are the only people in the room)
came from....(just a little tit-bit for ya)...
So I bottom line is that this is a real good CD, just don't listen to it in
one sitting....
