Re: [microsound] analog|digital or digilog?
but why do mp3's not sound like the orginal?.
why do computers care about bit conversion?
because the human ear can distinguish the discrete intervals in amplitude,
right? granted it comes out through the speakers eventually (which is not
discrete mechanism (analog)), but the displacement in magnitude is far
larger if it is a low bit conversion. but i suppose this all matters only
on the side of replication of sound rather than sound creation. ok i'll
stop babbling.
