public life is a nice bar/cafe underneath the ground (used to be a public
toilet).  it's free to get in.  it's a good place to find strange music
and visuals, particularly on a sunday.  things can get a bit intense and
loud at times, and arrive early if you want to sit down...

it's got an ADSL internet connection, and you're free to plug in your
laptop.
