Re: [microsound] why electronics?
Bob, thank you for this recomendation! I found an album with a Grisey
piece, "Modulations" (1978), here in the IU School of Music library, about
to go give it a listen now, actually.
Since there's been mention of how hard to find a lot of this spectral
stuff is (Murail, Grisey), this LP is a 1984 issue credited to
Erato/EIC/IRCAM distributed in France by RCA. Ensemble InterContemporain
performs.
Also included are:
Hugues Dufort "Antiphysis" (1978)
Jonathan Harvey "Mortuos Plango, Vivos Voco (1980)
Thanks for all the interesting emails so far everyone. Tim, I will work to
further develop my thoughts in this matter, and post them when ready.
