Risking revealing my fascination with cheesy pop...

The mix engineer that came up with this sound is Marc Goodman,
a good friend of Junior Vazques who produced the track.

They used some extreme settings on the Antares AutoTune plugin:

The plugin is found in any commercial studio and has been used
for years to fix the vocals of our favorite pop stars.

Most knock-offs use it too.

.... now on to Christina Aguilera and Pimmon...
