That seems to be a problem with a lot of events these days. Gregory Taylor
just posted saying that he thinks $75 is a good deal to see a jillion sets
by dozens of artists. He's probably right, but personally I don't want to
be standing around all night waiting for stuff and missing stuff because I
get too tired or bored waiting for it. When I go to see a show I want to be
out of my house for 3-4 hours max and that includes the commute. I'm just
not a candy raver taking enough drugs to fend off natural biological systems
that tell me when its time to call it a night.
Not that I think anyone should cater shows to geezers who can't stay up past
midnite, as long as you can find enough youngsters with more energy than
they know what to do with, everythings fine. Maybe I should just relegate
myself to dino-rock reunion tours, they always end early and dont cram too
much into one night.
