Wow you really took patrick lichty's diatribe seriously didnt you.  Further
proof that mailing-lists turn brains to mush.

If America has a problem with free speech the problem is that they've
convinced their people it exists when it doesn't.  If Canada doesn't bother
feeding their citizens similar propaganda, thats not a whole lot to be proud
of.  Its also not really necessary since most Canadians soak up the American
propaganda and believe 'free speech' exists, inspite of the Lichty
Manifesto.

Still, the Lichty Manifesto does not acknowledge that free speech doesnt
actually exist anywhere in the world, rather it aims to claim that free
speech only exists where 'evil america' has 'forced' it onto indigenous
populations.  While that may be somewhat accurate, its not accurate to
assume that the 'free speech' that america promotes is actually 'free
speech'.  If America truely had 'free speech' then you could give defence
secrets to Russia or China and not have to be worried about being locked up
for the rest of your life or executed for treason.  I cant remember if the
Meth bill got passed last year, but it aimed to make it illegal in USA to
post any recipies for drugs on the internet.  Is that what you call 'free
speech'?  If that bill failed its probably because the 'free speech' debate
raged on and convinced the senate to vote it down. But they could've voted
it into law and then where would your theory of americans 'forcing free
speech on people' be?

About the only thing you & Lichty have proven is that fascism is alive and
well outside and inside USA, despite what the average american citizen
believes.  For some reason (well, obviously because Lichty wants to justify
banning and censoring on mailing-lists), you & Lichty are holding fascism up
as something worth embracing just because america claims not to (even though
they do).
