Re: [microsound] Scanned Synthesis

Hello Wayne,

Without writing their own C++ version of the algorithm,
anyone can explore this interesting new synthesis and
signal processing algorithm. We coded it as a set of
Csound opcodes some time ago and I put together
some tutorials and model Csound instruments.

To find out more about scanned synthesis and hear
other pieces, patches, etc.... check out the Csound
implementation and tutorials @

p.s. I really like your piece very much! You should make sure
you send a copy of it with the url to Max Mathews and Bill
Verplank - the inventors of Scanned Synthesis. Contact me
for their email addresses if you do not have them.

Hey,

Has anyone out there in microsound experimented with Scanned Synthesis?
I'm referring to the technique described at:
	http://www.musique.umontreal.ca/electro/Activites/MaxMathews.html

About a month ago I cobbled up some scanned synth code and created a new piece
with only the sounds I could create from it. I'm extremely curious to hear what
sounds other individuals may have come up with using similar techniques.
I'd love to correspond on an individual basis with others who are doing this.
