i only just realized that the reason i didn't
understand the original post i replied to was because
it appears to have belonged to a different, older 
thread.  so my reply seems quite inappropriate and
more or less idiotic.
for some reason, i only just received that
email now, and didn't realize the discrepancy in the
date....  i apologize to the list and graeme for the
misunderstanding...  o the perils of email.
