I wouldn't say that. Ok, his statement reminds of the futurists of the 
20s who said that war is somehow like artwork. It is said that these 
artists were close to the fascistic movement but I think they didn't 
really know what fascism was meant to be in that time.

The planed and well choreographed attack of the symbols of america and 
western world, the exploitative repeatition of the horrible pictures on 
t.v. really making this coming close to an artwork happening. Of course 
it is terrible but Stockhausen didn't excused it with this statement!!

It is a typical reaction of this city, I am from Hamburg, to cancel the 
concerts instead letting provocation and discussion flow.
