A similar scenario plays itself out within a number of
artforms such as minimalist-sculpture, video-art and
net-art: the first artists to point-at/showcase the new
technology became "historically relevant." It seems
especially sad to see this still happening now when the Net
provides the means to eclipse the old hierarchical
authentication/distribution systems of the Artworld and
Music Industry.
