sound in austin, tx.?

have been scrubbing this list for a couple months. consider unsubscribing 
from time-to-time, then something keeps me going. am a gtrist/collage 
artist/knob-twister/etc. have been making sounds wierd and not-so for 
indie-pop groups in chicago (the aluminum group, jim o'rourke, the bobby 
conn and band...) for the last several years. also spool with jhno in s.f. i 
just relocated to austin, tx. to escape impending winter, among other 
things. have some old friends here who make sounds, but i'd love to know 
more folks who make micro, experimental, minimal techno, etc. and have that 
stomp-box and duct-tape sorta way of doing things.  any such goings on here?
